Good morning, dear subscribers! We hope you're having a fantastic start to your day.
In the morning (5am-10am), dress in layers to stay comfortable as the temperature fluctuates between 49Β°F and 53Β°F. Bring an umbrella or raincoat to stay dry if the chance of rain increases.
For the noon (11am-1pm) and afternoon (2pm-5pm) periods, wear waterproof shoes and a light raincoat to stay dry from the showers. The temperature will remain around 53Β°F, so a light sweater or long-sleeved shirt should suffice.
In the evening (6pm-11pm), dress warmly as the temperature drops to 51Β°F. Bring a waterproof outer layer, such as a raincoat or poncho, to stay dry from the rain.
Stay dry and have a fantastic day ahead!
Arson at Pasadena School Gym Inflicts $100,000 in Damages and Injures Teacher
The gym at Marshall Fundamental Secondary School in Pasadena suffered substantial damage due to a fire suspected to have been intentionally set by a 13-year-old student in the locker room.
The fire, categorized as arson by the fire department, caused an estimated $100,000 in damages and resulted in one teacher being treated for smoke inhalation.
The student was detained for questioning as law enforcement continues its investigation. Parents and students expressed concern over the incident but were relieved that the situation did not escalate further.
Pasadena Commits to Clean Energy Future with Major Solar Power Contract
The City of Pasadena has taken a significant step towards expanding its clean energy portfolio by approving a 20-year contract for 105 megawatts of solar power and 55 megawatts of battery storage from Bonanza Solar, LLC.
This move is in line with Pasadena's commitment to sourcing 100% of its electricity from carbon-free sources by 2030.
The contract, facilitated by Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) through the Southern California Public Power Authority (SCPPA), represents a crucial milestone in the city's sustainability efforts. Furthermore, previous acquisitions of geothermal and solar energy projects underscore Pasadena's dedication to embracing clean energy initiatives.
